SCORM Courses and Issues
Occasionally, you may find that users have issues with 3rd Party SCORM courses.
These are courses that are not made by Syntrio, but by a different vendor, or with an authoring tool. These courses ‘talk’ to the Learning Management System, through the SCORM protocol. This allows the LMS to communicate the following data:
- Bookmarking (where the user left the page)
- Time spent (additive)
- Scoring, if enabled.
If there are issues getting any of the above data, one way to check this is to view the SCORM Debug Log. This is in the top right, of the course window:
By clicking on this, what can be viewed is the different status of what has come through/or not come through, for the course. This can also be given to a technician familiar with SCORM, to review any issues.
