Sensitivity to Social Identity
Even though societies and workplaces generally advocate fair opportunities for all, many individuals may face societal or even organizational injustice and inequality due to their cultural identity, which may include race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, expression or sexual orientation, disability and other personal characteristics. These challenges exist due to many factors, including prejudices and stereotypes, group identity and exclusion, and social privilege. This training explores the challenges with cultural identity injustice and inequality, their causes, and the solutions that individuals, and particularly those with influence, can take to increase awareness and create change regarding this problem.
