Hazardous Energy Control
Machines and equipment are “energized” and potentially hazardous when connected to an energy source or when they contain residual or stored energy. Energy becomes hazardous when it builds to a dangerous level or is released at a magnitude that could cause harm. In performing work on this equipment, this course will teach you the purpose and use of a lockout/tagout program, the methods and procedures involved in effective lockout/tagout, and the responsibilities of all individuals that affect or are affected by lockout/tagout.
