Preventing Workplace Violence

Every year, millions of U.S. employees are physically or verbally abused in the workplace. Workplace violence affects one out of every four full-time American workers each year. Many people do not realize what a serious problem workplace violence is nor what a devastating impact it can have on people’s lives. In addition to the human toll, the annual cost of workplace violence to American businesses exceeds $36 billion. However, the problem is largely preventable.
